July 7: Wetzlar by Clio Suicide

When we wake up groggy from sleeping in the van all night (the things we do for rockânâroll) we find ourselves in the medieval town of Wetzlar. After a nap in a cute 17th century house near the venue, The Shocker is ready for action again. Tonight thereâs also a change in the Shocker family; our driver Rainer leaves us to go on the road with his own band, and we are accompanied by Olli of label mates The Very Job Agency from now on. We stay around for a while, hang out with some locals, dance to old skool hip hop, have many glasses of red wine (all right, maybe just me), save Ronnie and Quist from the clutches of two underage girls, and eventually make it back to our home for tonight.
